el Nido – Description

Cabin Rear early morning

Back of the home in the early morning light

In the month of July, the average high temperature in Pinetop, Arizona (78°) is nearly thirty degrees lower than the average high temperature of Phoenix. Pinetop is a veritable summer paradise from a weather standpoint. Life in the cool, tall pine forest is peaceful and pleasant. You can enjoy that life by renting el Nido del Pino, a fully furnished and beautifully appointed three bedroom, three bath cabin (if you can call a luxury home a “cabin”) nestled in the Ponderosa pine forest. El Nido sits in the midst of a small, gated community (Pinetop Crossing) that offers the quiet and seclusion of the world’s largest natural stand of Ponderosa pines and yet it is within two miles of three outstanding golf courses (Pinetop Lakes Golf and Country Club – visible from the rear patio, Pinetop Country Club, and White Mountain Country Club)  an entertainment venue (Hon-Dah Casino), fishing spots galore, countless walking and hiking trails, and the heart of the historic mountain community of Pinetop.

Easy day trips from el Nido include visits to the Painted Desert, historic sites on the Navajo and Apache Reservations, the Salt River Canyon, Canyon de Chelle, Sunrise Ski Resort, and myriad other Arizona treasures. Mount Baldy (Arizona’s second high peak) is a beautiful day hike and reaches more than 11,000 feet in elevation. Wildlife abounds in the forest. Elk, deer, turkey, javalina, bear, mountain lion and more are native to the area. Keep an eye out and you may get a furtive glimpse of nature’s bounty as you stroll through the forest.

El Nido is one of the best rental values in the White Mountains. It is meticulously maintained, beautifully situated and well equipped in all regards. All three bedrooms have their own full baths. The cabin is equipped with the highest speed internet service available in today’s market. Cable TV and “internet TV” are both included as is phone service with toll-free calling within the continental United States. The cabin is air conditioned (those 78° days can be brutal you know) and although the heating system is more than adequate, you can augment it with the gas fireplace in the main living area. Ceiling fans throughout help even out the temperatures.

Despite the fact that few rentals in Pinetop can offer higher quality, el Nido’s “value” is unmatched. The cabin is not offered on internet based sites such as HomeAway and VRBO. As a result you’re not paying absorbent fees to third parties. Between management companies and VRBO-like marketing vehicles, rental cost can increase by thirty to forty percent. Those expenses are either passed on to renters and/or recaptured in the form of reduced maintenance and/or cabin amenities. After staying in el Nido, it will become obvious you’re the one enjoying the savings. The home is managed by the owners. The reduced cost of marketing is passed on in the form of superior furnishings and higher rental values.
